Eligibility

This scholarship is available for all academic programmes, including postgraduate research programmes, within the University (excluding education partnership arrangements).
We would expect those who apply for these programmes to be competing at the following standards due to the competitive nature of the performance squads:
- Be a member of the National Governing Body’s (NGB) performance squads, or part of the NGB pathway (under 21 orU21 / equivalent).
- Have achieved senior or age group representative honours at national and/or international level in the last 12 months, and/or current year.
- Be part of a recognised professional club and/or academy.
- Competing at a national level where applicable.
How to apply
The application process includes completing a form and taking part in either a team trial or interview.
- For netball and cricket: athletes who meet the criteria will be invited to a team trial.
- For triathlon: athletes who meet the criteria will be invited to an interview with the Performance Sport Manager and Head of Sport for Triathlon Athletes.
We also offer High Performance Athlete Scholarships for individuals who compete at the highest levels within their chosen sport.
