The University of Leeds is one of the best for entrepreneurial studies. The opportunities on offer inspired me to make my business a success. I went to a presentation delivered by Spark, the Careers Centre’s dedicated business start-up team. I heard from former students that had started up their own business while at University.
The support they offered was absolutely amazing. When they explained what support was available, like office space and having industry experts as mentors, it made me want to start my own business there and then.
My business is called Lunebelle and I’m designing bras to prevent health issues in young girls. I want to teach children at a young age how to wear the right-sized bra and to give them something they find attractive and want to wear.
It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and will help me stand out from the crowd when I graduate. Doing a Management degree has taught me everything about starting a business, and Spark have given me that step up. It’s great to get feedback from business professionals – it’s helped me learn how to be commercially aware. This incredible opportunity has helped me turn my dream into reality.
