What will I see on a campus tour?
Our campus tours will last a maximum of one and a half hours and you’ll see some of our major landmarks including the Parkinson Building and Great Hall.
We’ll show you inside some of our facilities, including one of our libraries, The Edge sports centre and Leeds University Union. We hope to give you a feel for our campus community and the services available to you.
When should I arrive for my campus tour and where should I go?
You should arrive 5–10 minutes before the start of your tour. All tours will begin from the steps beneath the Parkinson Building, which is listed as number 60 on our campus map. Our ambassadors will be waiting for you and will be wearing red t-shirts.
What should I bring?
When you book your place on a campus tour, you'll receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite. Please keep this email safe as it contains all the key information you need to know ahead of your tour. You don’t need to bring a copy of the email with you on the day.
Most of our campus tour takes place outside, so please bring comfortable footwear and some waterproof clothing in case it's raining. We’d strongly encourage you to wear a face covering to keep you and our students and staff safe during your visit.
Where can I park?
There is a multi-storey car park available on campus. There is a small charge for parking. You should make your payment for parking before you exit at one of the pay machines.
We also recommend using the public multi-storey car park on Woodhouse Lane, which is a short walk from the starting point of the tour.

Who should I contact if I’m going to arrive late?
On the day, if you're going to arrive late, please call our campus tours team to let them know. The phone number to call can be found in your booking confirmation email.
How do I cancel or change my booking?
Places on our campus tours are limited so please let us know if you know in advance that if you can't attend. Instructions on how to do this can be found in your booking confirmation email. You'll then be able to rebook another slot. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
What if the University needs to cancel my tour?
We're continually monitoring developments related to COVID-19. If there is a change in local and/or national restrictions which impacts campus tours, we'll be in touch with you via email as soon as possible.
Can I visit my subject department?
Our campus tours are generic and don’t go into detail about any specific faculty or department. If you'd like a building to be pointed out to you as part of your tour, make your student tour guide aware and they'll make every effort to do so.
Can I speak to someone about my course?
To speak with a member of staff about your course, please search for your course on our Coursefinder website and direct your enquiry to the email address listed.
Will the student ambassador leading my tour be studying my subject?
We can’t guarantee your tour host will be studying your subject but our student ambassadors will be happy to share their experiences of Leeds and what it’s like to live and study here.
Will I be able to visit student accommodation?
Our campus tours don’t include the inside of our student accommodation due to the arrival of new students. The tours will stop briefly outside some of our on-campus residences, and our ambassadors will be able to share their experiences of living in our accommodation.

Are there toilets available?
Toilet facilities are available on campus for those attending campus tours. Our student ambassadors can direct you to these on the day. It’s advisable to wear a face covering while using these facilities.
Is the route wheelchair accessible?
The route is largely wheelchair accessible. If you or a member of your group has any accessibility requirements or would like more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where can I get something to eat on campus?
Due to current restrictions, some of our cafes on campus are currently closed. However, there are plenty of places to eat a short walk from campus and in the city centre. Our ambassadors will be happy to tell you the best places to go.
Can I book a campus tour if I’m interested in postgraduate study?
Our tours are tailored for undergraduates but postgraduates can attend to get a feel for campus.
Can I book a campus tour if I’m an international applicant?
Yes, you can. If you'd like to have a bespoke tour led by an international student, email email@example.com for more details.
