Academic English for Postgraduate Studies Pre-sessional Programme
View pages in this documentPrepare to study for postgraduate degrees (taught and research) in a wide-variety of subject areas: Engineering, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The programme will help to prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful study at postgraduate level and at the same time help you to improve your English language skills.
The programme will:
- help you to improve your level of academic English to meet university requirements
- improve your academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills
- provide you with practise writing assignments, conducting research exercises, participating in lectures and seminar discussions
- develop your understanding of University systems, services and facilities
You can study the Academic English for Postgraduate Studies full-time, 21 hours per week, for 10 weeks (July - Sep) or 6 weeks (Aug-Sep). Please note we will advise you of the recommended length of the course depending on the entry requirements for your chosen degree programme.
