Prepare for undergraduate studies or the International Foundation Year programme.

During the academic year you can study on the Academic English for Undergraduate Studies pre-sessional programme full-time, with entry points in September, January and April, with the possibility of continuing your studies in the summer period.

During the summer you can study the Academic English for Undergraduate Studies pre-sessional programme full-time for 10 weeks or 6 weeks. Please note we will advise you of the recommended length of the course depending on the entry requirements for your chosen course of study.

What is a pre-sessional programme?

A pre-sessional programme is designed to help international students to develop their English and academic study skills in preparation for a UK university education.

  • Learn about academic study conventions in the UK
  • Develop research skills
  • Improve academic writing techniques
  • Enhance the study skills needed to help you be more successful at degree level
