We host a range of events and activities for international students, to help answer any questions you have before you start your studies with us.
You’ll hear from staff in our international teams, alumni and current students. Our activities include global webinars, Q&As, offer holder groups and events in your region or country.

Offer holder groups
Connect with staff and fellow students in our offer holder groups.
These groups are a great opportunity for you to ask questions about preparing to study at Leeds, get updates, and find out about the activities you can participate in.
All groups are hosted on WhatsApp, except China which uses QQ. Some groups are open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and some are separated by level of study.
You’ll be invited by email to join our offer holder groups once you’ve received an offer to study at the University of Leeds; the subject line will read “Invitation to Join the University of Leeds Offer Holder Groups”.

International orientation
Our international orientation programme will help you have the best possible start in Leeds. Join webinars, talks, workshops, tours and social events to help you feel at home and meet new people.
- Find out about the essential and optional steps to complete before you arrive, as well as the processes to follow once you’re on campus.
- Sign up for online webinars covering a range of topics – from opening a bank account and registering with a doctor to preparing for your studies at Leeds.
- Join in-person International Orientation talks and join in when you’re in Leeds, especially the ‘Welcome to Leeds’ talk: your official welcome to our University.
- Discover our campus and city by booking a campus or city chase tour.
- Meet people through a range of social events happening across campus.
