Have fun and find out more by visiting campus

Explore our campus and city Visiting us gives you a great opportunity to meet our staff and students

Choosing where to study is a big decision, which is why we encourage you to come and visit the campus to help you decide if the University of Leeds is right for you.

Please download our directions sheet and campus map to make the most of your visit.

Open days

Visiting us on an open day gives you the most opportunity to explore our campus.

Our next open days will be on Friday 22 June, Saturday 23 June and Saturday 13 October 2012. Booking will open in late February. You can find more information at www.leeds.ac.uk/opendays

If you have already applied and received an offer from us, you will be invited to a departmental open day in due course (usually between November and March).

Campus tours

Campus tours are aimed at those who have not yet submitted their UCAS application, and are a good way to get a feel for the campus and to meet some current students.

Campus tours include:

A student-led walking tour of the campus featuring the major facilities:

  • Leeds University Students' Union
  • One of our libraries
  • Our sports centre, The Edge
  • One of our halls of residence (please note we may not be able to access to individual flats and bedrooms)

Campus tours do not include visits to individual departments; if you wish to visit an academic department you should contact them directly beforehand to see if it is possible to look around. Faculty and School contact details are listed online

Please note that departments are not always able to accommodate visitors due to academic commitments.

We will be running campus tours from spring 2012. Dates will be published on this website in early March and you will then be able to book a place.

Independent visits

If you're unable to make a guided campus tour or you would rather explore the campus on your own, you can arrange an independent visit. You can visit at any time - but remember that University buildings are not normally open at weekends and if there is a particular academic department you'd like to see you should contact the department directly beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Please download our self-guided tour, our directions sheet and campus map to make the most of your visit.

If you have already applied

If you are holding an offer you can arrange a visit through your chosen faculty or school.

Visitors from outside Europe

If you live outside the EU we can make special arrangements for your visit.
