We will make sure you are well fed during your time at Leeds, whether you are working, studying or just visiting us.
Places to eat
There are many places for you to try on campus. Opening hours quoted are during term time. For more information contact the venue. Here are some of our favourites.
As well as being a major gig venue in the evenings, the Refectory is the main catering outlet on campus, offering a variety of hot and cold food. We cater for a range of dietary requirements and our award-winning head chef sources local ingredients as much as possible.
Hugo is our camionnette café which sells fresh baguettes, coffee and patisseries. This little van is usually to be found opposite Old Bar and is fantastic when you are looking for a sophisticated bite to eat between meetings or lectures.

Leeds University Union
Leeds University Union also has some wonderful places to eat and drink, see the following list for some inspiration.
Quirky café Common Ground is a great place to meet friends or colleagues, study over coffee and cake or take a break from the office.
Our on-campus bar, the Old Bar is a great place to unwind after a busy day at work or studying and kick start the weekend. They also offer a high-quality and varied menu, suitable for most dietary requirements, including an all day breakfast.
LUU Farmers' Market
The market visits every Monday during term time with some must-see stalls which include:
- A deli.
- A greengrocer who delivers boxes of seasonal vegetables to your door.
- A bakery which sells excellent brownies.
- The hog roast van (this is very popular so watch out for queues).
