At Leeds we help you to prepare for your future from day one.
Through our Leeds for Life initiative we will help you evidence your academic experience and co-curricular activities so you can speak confidently about your attributes and skills.
The personal development timeline will help you recognise and record your key achievements so you are able to articulate them clearly and confidently.
How does it work?
At the heart of Leeds for Life is personal tutoring. You will have structured one-to-one meetings with your personal tutor throughout your degree, which will support your personal and academic development, helping you to become a confident, articulate Leeds graduate.
Through the Leeds for Life website you will be able to find opportunities to help you develop or enhance your skills, including volunteering, studying abroad or joining one of our hundreds of Union societies.
You can also use your personalised section of the site to record everything you are doing and the skills you are developing. This, alongside records of your personal tutor meetings, will really help you to make the most of your time at Leeds and benefit from that experience when you graduate.
Through Leeds for Life you can also find out about our discovery modules, available to most students, which are grouped into 10 Discovery Themes. They will enable you to make the most of your degree and take advantage of the breadth of expertise at Leeds.
We think Leeds for Life plays an important part in your future development, but don't just take our word for it. Read our case studies to hear why our students, graduates and recruiters of Leeds graduates think it's important too.
