The Language Zone gives you access to free resources to help you learn a language. It is open to all students and staff at the University and provides learning material in more than 50 languages.
The centre has a computer cluster for personal study, and books, magazines, audio and video resources to help you learn a language. You can also access free Rosetta Stone software both on and off campus.
Workshops and activities
We have a range of workshops, language groups and advice drop-ins to help you study. Our groups meet regularly to practise the languages they are studying. You could also communicate with a native speaker of the language you're learning as part of our language exchange. There is always a member of staff in the Language Zone to help you access resources or give advice.
Find out more about the Language Zone on our current students' website.
