Due to the Coronavirus (covid-19), the Language Centre will be delivering pre-sessional courses fully online during the period October – December 2020 and January - March 2021. You will not be required to attend the pre-sessional course on the University of Leeds campus and you will not need a visa to attend the pre-sessional course.

We’ll continue to review our courses, and will update our information for pre-sessionals taking place in Term 3 (March – June 2021) and summer 2021 in the near future.

I have received an offer for a pre-sessional course starting in Term 2 (start date 4 January 2021), but my offer is for more than 10 weeks of study, when will I receive my CAS?

As this pre-sessional course is being delivered online in Term 2 you are not expected to travel to the UK and therefore you will not be assigned a CAS for your studies commencing on 4 January. We cannot yet confirm whether Term 3 starting on 29 March 2021 will be delivered fully or partly on-campus, or online.

We are fully aware of the impact that the current situation could have on your plans to study with us at Leeds, with a large number of schools and universities around the world being closed, as well as IELTS and visa centres. We want to reassure you that the University of Leeds is taking all necessary steps to ensure that we can be as flexible as possible in terms of our academic and English language entry criteria, submission of documents and access to learning. The situation is fast changing and whilst we can’t give specific case by case information for everyone at this stage, we will be updating our information in the near future with more specific details once they are confirmed.
