Laura Conroy

My role is to improve student success - retention, attainment and progression - among students from a wide range of backgrounds.

I work in the centre and also in a team of Student Success Officers based in the various faculties across the University. 

I help identify students in need of further support, using learner analytics and contextual information and sharing data with appropriate colleagues.

My work also involves supporting student success interventions, from induction onwards, as well as liaising with academic and professional staff within the centre and more widely, to help ensure that University staff, activities and processes maximise continuation and success for all students.

Importantly, my work includes evaluating and reporting on the impact of support delivered by the Lifelong Learning Centre to ensure continuous improvement.

I am also a key link between the Plus Programme in Educational Engagement, and the Lifelong Learning Centre.
