Portrait of Rosie Stoker.

My main role within the LLC is to support students (current and prospective) to navigate and access support throughout their time with us. This ranges from one-to-one support and inductions to informal chats in shared spaces and working with LLC colleagues to create the best and most supportive environment possible.

I also help the LLC Disability Contact ensure that support is implemented wherever appropriate to ensure each student receives the support they deserve, no matter their background, circumstances or age.

With extensive knowledge of the University since graduating from Leeds in 2008, I joined the LLC after four years working in a student support role in the School of English and bring experience of working both inside and outside the institution.

Part of wellbeing support is to build community and belonging, whether through information sharing, signposting, events, chats and especially through empowerment. This means listening and growing from everything we learn from our students and what they bring to us.
