Pecuniary legacy
I give to the University of Leeds of Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, LS2 9JT the sum of £ [insert amount]
(a) for its general purposes

(b) for its general purposes but with a request, without creating any binding obligation, that this gift is applied to the University for the purposes of [please specify purposes].
The receipt of a person who appears to be a proper officer of the University of Leeds shall be sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees, who shall not be required to enquire as to the application of the said sum.
Index-linked pecuniary legacy
I give to the University of Leeds of Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, LS2 9JT
(a) the sum of [state the amount in figures and in words and state if it is in a currency other than £ Sterling] and I declare that this legacy shall be increased by simple interest of 3% per annum from the date of execution of my will until the date of my death.
