Many of our academics work closely with business and industry as consultants and practitioners and their knowledge will inform your education, ensuring it is relevant.

Start your own business

If you are considering starting your own business then we can support you. Spark, our business start-up service, is based at our Careers Centre with a dedicated team of advisors who can help you develop your idea into a viable business.

This support includes:

•    access to grants and funding
•    networking events and workshops.

Leeds for Life 

Our Leeds for Life initiative helps you to develop and demonstrate your skills and experience. You're given access to exclusive opportunities and the Leeds for Life system which helps you to record your activities and achievements which will help you when applying for jobs. Leeds for Life grants are available for volunteering projects and specific personal development.
