Policy Leeds works to connect policy professionals with researchers and to nurture long term and productive collaborations and engagements.
We offer a number of services for both policy professionals and researchers to make this happen.
Policy professionals
Policy Leeds provides a coordinating contact point for policy professionals to find the research expertise you need at the University of Leeds.
The University has a strong and diverse research base, meaning we have access to an enormous range of expertise in many different policy-relevant areas. We can provide everything from individual introductions through to organising roundtables or seminars.
Where appropriate, we will look to support developing longer term relationships through our policy support fund or other innovative collaborations. Please contact us to start a conversation.
This website hosts a range of policy-relevant resources to inform and challenge policy thinking, based on the latest research evidence and ideas. These include a series of policy briefs and blogs.
If you can’t find what you are looking for, need something bespoke, or would like to suggest a topic for one of these strands, then please get in touch to discuss.
Researchers
We support researchers to develop their policy engagement work, policy networks and pathways to impact, and connect with others in the University with similar interests.
The policy support fund is there to support activities that help you build momentum, and develop or deepen policy relationships for key research areas.
We support policy brief and blog series to help you share your research evidence with policy professionals and raise the visibility of policy-relevant research.
Policy Leeds shares opportunities and policy engagement resources via Engaged Research on Microsoft Teams (internal to the University, email the Policy Leeds team at policyleeds@leeds.ac.uk and we can add you to the group). Use the Engaged Research Teams to connect with others, ask questions, join in conversations, and share intelligence on policy engagement and other forms of engaged research. We also run termly Policy Leeds seminars so you can network and hear about other people’s policy engagement work.
