Pre-departure events

We organise pre-departure briefings in nearly all the major cities in Southeast Asia and virtually, if this option is not available.

Whether in person or online, these briefings are a chance for students and their families to meet fellow offer holders and get advice about accommodation, visas, making travel plans and preparing for their studies.

These events are also an opportunity to meet our current students and alumni who can share their experiences and answer any questions.

These briefings are only open to applicants and offer holders.

Visas

To study in the UK, you will need to get a Student visa. Please see our applying for a Student visa page for more information.

We can help students from Southeast Asia with the visa application process. If you need support or advice, please get in touch with us.

Unsuccessful visa applications

If your application is refused or rejected, please email a copy of the refusal letter to the Visa Team at visa@leeds.ac.uk and wait for our advice before making a new visa application.

Please note that a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) can only be used once.

If your application is refused or rejected, do not attempt to make another application using the same CAS. You can request a new CAS using the contact email addresses in the email which delivered your first CAS.
