The Lifelong Learning Centre
The Lifelong Learning Centre is both a multi-disciplinary School running undergraduate courses, and a specialist service supporting mature and part-time learners across the University.
We deliver courses that encourage and support student diversity, with a focus on students from under-represented groups or who don't have traditional qualifications.
We also offer support to current and prospective mature, part-time and Foundation level students, and apprentices. This is done through offering one-to-one advice sessions, open days and subject events to help you decide your pathway into higher education.

Our research community
Many of our staff and current and former students are active researchers with a diverse range of interests and expertise. These include teaching and inclusive learning, student support, engagement and experience and equality, diversity and inclusion.
As a School we’re particularly interested in methodology and theory that can offer new insights and help shape and inform policy and practice in adult learning and widening participation.
