An industry-relevant education
Many of our academic staff are also consultants and practitioners in their particular disciplines so our teaching is informed by internal and external collaboration, to make sure our courses reflect the needs of business and industry.
One of the ways we do this is through industry consultation through Industrial Advisory Boards which provide an employers focus on our courses, making sure they are always up-to-date and relevant to industry.
Placements and internships are also available to Masters Students, and we have a number of enterprise opportunities for those who have a business idea or want to develop their entrepreneurial skills.
How you will learn
As a postgraduate student you will work alongside our academic staff and have exposure to research as it is happening here on campus, meaning that you benefit from the most up-to-date perspective on your subject.
Our Masters courses combine traditional lectures, seminars and tutorials with independent project-based investigation.
We have invested over £2m in a new state-of-the-art lecture capture and multimedia management system so you can access video and audio recordings of many of your lectures and other teaching activities through the Universitys Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
In 2012 we were one of only three institutions to receive a commendation from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for enhancement of learning opportunities.
You'll also be able to take advantage of our excellent study facilities, including an internationally recognised library, first-rate laboratories, clinical centres and computing services, as well as support for personal and professional development , like Leeds for Life and our dedicated training hubs.
