Leeds Alumni Book Club
We know that many of our alumni love to read. That’s why we’ve set up the Leeds Alumni Book Club. It’s the perfect way for you to talk about books with fellow alumni around the world.
Leeds Alumni Book Club FAQs
How do the book club discussions work?
A moderator will lead your conversations, encourage debate, suggest points to consider and share relevant articles. This format allows for ongoing conversation and makes it easy for Leeds alumni to connect with each other. The moderator is from the company PBC Guru, who are helping us run the club.
Will the book club meet in person?
No. The book club will be entirely online. This means that alumni all over the world can take part and we’ll all benefit from a diverse range of perspectives.
How often will we read books and how much time do I need to commit to it?
One or two hours a week should be enough to keep you on track with the Leeds Alumni Book Club. We’ll read a book every two months. Participation in group discussions isn’t essential so if you find yourself short on time, don't stress.
How do I get hold of the books?
You’ll need to supply your own book. The book can be physical or digital.
How much do I have to pay?
You're lucky – Leeds alumni don't need to pay for the book club.
How are books selected?
Your club will vote to decide which book we read next. You'll be invited to suggest books for inclusion in these regular voting sessions.
