Biological Sciences Dean’s Excellence Scholarship

How much is it worth?
Up to £1,000 spread over two years, subject to satisfactory progression.

Who is eligible?
Home/EU fee paying students who have achieved the academic excellence (A*AA at A-level or equivalent) criteria in your previous studies in a single academic year and in specific subjects. For information on the excellence criteria visit the Faculty of Biological Sciences website

Engineering Head of School Excellence Scholarship

How much is it worth?
£1000 per year of study

Who is eligible?
Home/EU rated fee paying students who achieve A*A*A at A-level (A2) or equivalent (based on the criteria used by the School for offer purposes). The grades must be in subjects required for the course. You must be new to the University and enter onto level 1.

How much is it worth?
£1,000 per year of study

Who is eligible?
Home/EU rated fee paying students who achieve A*A*A at A-level (A2) or equivalent (based on the criteria used by the School for offer purposes). Year 1, new to the University, achieve a yearly attainment percentage of 70% or above (to include all compulsory modules) with all modules passed at the first attempt. The scholarship will be withheld in a year if you fail to achieve 70%, but will be reinstated the following year if your performance recovers to 70% or over. You won’t receive the scholarship for the industrial placement year or study abroad year. You must not be in receipt of any other Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences award.

All of the single honours and joint honours undergraduate degree courses in the School of Chemistry, excluding Natural Sciences.

How much is it worth?
£2,000 per year up to a maximum of 3 years. Optional years such as study abroad or a year in industry are excluded. There are up to five scholarships available for 2018.
