Postgraduate scholarshipsWe are investing an extra £10m to fund new research awards.

Postgraduate students at Leeds already benefit from over £10m of funding a year from the University and external sources. Scholarships are available to UK, EU and international students.

Individual University schools also offer some scholarships, and substantial numbers of studentships funded by the UK Research Councils are available for postgraduate study at Leeds for UK and EU students.

Funding opportunities include:

  • former students of the University of Leeds may be eligible for a 10% alumni tuition fee bursary
  • for 2014 and 2015 entry a total of 110 new scholarships a year will be available, made possible by an additional investment of more than £10m, supported by the University. The University of Leeds 110 Anniversary Research Scholarships include a maintenance grant and cover University fees for three years. Please note: the deadline for 2014 applications has now passed and the application process for 2015 entry will open later this year.

Full information about all the awards available can be found on our postgraduate scholarships database

Search the postgraduate scholarships database for current taught and research opportunities and application forms. Some schools at the University offer their own scholarships so you should contact them directly to check whether they offer any funding not included in the database.
