We appreciate that waiting for your results can be a stressful time. To support you, we’ve put together some top tips to help you prepare for results day.
Make sure your details are correct in UCAS Track
Double-check the contact details on your UCAS application form are correct so that universities can contact you if they need to.
Remember that we can only discuss offers with the applicant themselves, unless you’ve nominated someone else to act on your behalf through UCAS.
Consider every outcome
Have a look at alternative courses and consider related subjects to keep your options open. Remember, similar courses may have different names at other universities.
Look at university websites to check entry requirements – some courses may require specific subjects at A-level and GCSE (or equivalent). For our entry requirements, check our Coursefinder.
Be available to discuss your options
Know how to contact the universities you’re interested in. Our UK Clearing vacancies and international Clearing vacancies pages tell you the best way to contact us. You should check these listings to know which courses we have available before getting in touch to apply.
Plan what you want to say. Think about why you’re interested in a particular course or university, and what you have to offer. Have a notepad and pen handy to write down any important information.
Check how you’ll receive your results
You need your results before you can call to discuss Clearing or Adjustment options, so make sure you know how you’ll receive your results.
Know your UCAS Track log in
UCAS Track is your first port of call on results day. You’ll need to log in for confirmation of your university place when you have your results, so keep your details handy.
