Information for disabled visitors

Campus sign

Here to helpProviding support for all our visitors

At the University of Leeds we work hard to meet the needs of our diverse student population and our campus is generally accessible for people with mobility difficulties. The disabled access route around campus is clearly signed. Just look for the 'North South Access Route' signs or ask one of our student ambassadors.

Open day wheelchair access

Where possible all activities take place in locations with wheelchair access, however due to the large number of rooms in use on open days there will be some restrictions to a small number of rooms. If you are interested in a talk or activity that is happening in a non-accessible room, please contact us, so that we can make alternative arrangements. You can also pick up information on courses from the subject drop-ins, all of which are in accessible venues.  Please see the open day guide for their times and locations.

Accessible information

If you require any open day information in alternative formats, such as braille or large print, please contact us

On the day support

On our open days, we can provide personal assistants, note-takers, and sign language interpreters. If you require support, please contact us on 0113 343 4830 or email The deadline for requests for additional support is Friday 6 June (for our June open days).

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the availability of additional support on the day of the event if it is not pre-arranged.
