Information for disabled visitors

Campus sign

Here to helpProviding support for all our visitors

At the University of Leeds we work hard to meet the needs of our diverse student population and our campus is generally accessible for people with mobility difficulties. The disabled access route around campus is clearly signed. Just look for the 'North South Access Route' signs or ask one of our student ambassadors.

Open day wheelchair access

Where possible all activities take place in locations with wheelchair access, however due to the large number of rooms in use on open days there will be some restrictions to a small number of rooms for wheelchair users. If you are interested in a talk or activity that is happening in a non-accessible room, please contact us, so that we can make alternative arrangements. You can also pick up information on courses from all subject drop-ins.  Please see the open day guide for their times and locations (all are in accessible venues).

Accessible information

If you require any open day information, eg the open day guide or copies of presentations, in alternative formats such as Braille or Large Print, please contact us

On the day support

On Open Days, we can provide personal assistants, note-takers, and sign language interpreters. If you require support, please contact us on 0113 343 4830 or email opendays@leeds.ac.uk  by Friday 7 June , so that we can arrange assistance to meet your needs.
Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the availability of personal assistants on the day of the event if they are not pre-arranged.

Parking for disabled visitors

Dedicated parking will be available on campus for disabled blue badge holders. This needs to be booked in advance by emailing opendays@leeds.ac.uk
