At Leeds we prepare you for your future. We want you to be able to recognise the value of everything you have done throughout your time here and be able to articulate this clearly and confidently.
We want each one of you to stand out by your ability to talk confidently about your attributes and skills, and the way in which these have been shaped by your academic experience and co-curricular activities.
At the heart of Leeds for Life is personal tutoring. The Leeds model for personal tutoring will give you structured one-to-one meetings with your personal tutor throughout your degree. These meetings will support your professional and academic development, helping you to become a confident, articulate Leeds graduate.
Everything you need to know about Leeds for Life is available online. You will be able to find both school-related and University-wide development opportunities. These opportunities will help you develop or enhance specific skills and range from volunteering and studying abroad to membership of one of our hundreds of Union societies.
You can also use your personalised section of the site to record everything you are doing and the skills you are developing. This, alongside records of your personal tutor meetings, will really help you to make the most of your time at Leeds and to benefit from that experience when you graduate.
We think Leeds for Life plays an important part in your future development, but don't just take our word for it. Visit our case studies to hear why our students, graduates and recruiters of Leeds graduates think it's important too.
