Quality

QAA - UK Quality Assured | Reviewed 2012
The University was one of only three institutions reviewed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in 2012 to receive a commendation, the highest category of praise available, for our enhancement of student learning opportunities. The report highlights other areas of excellence including our strategy to develop students' employability and career options, and the University's coordinated approach to create distinctive Leeds graduates.

We have 20 academics who have been awarded National Teaching Fellowships (in recognition of their imaginative and innovative learning and teaching methods). That's more than any other higher education institution in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

In the most recent National Student Survey, 90% of Leeds students rated their course as intellectually stimulating.

The Partnership

At Leeds we see our students as partners and this spirit stretches across our teaching to the way decisions are made about the University.

Together, staff and students at Leeds have created the Partnership document, which sets out the mutual expectations of us all as members of the University.  It sets out what you should expect from staff and other students, and what will be expected from you as a member of our learning community.

You can expect to receive an excellent and varied learning experience, delivered in an inspiring way.  In return, staff expect you to be open and willing to learn, to work hard and be challenged.
