We will be running a free bus service from the train station to the University for open day visitors. The first bus will leave the station at 8.30am, and the last bus back from the Parkinson Steps will depart at 5pm. Buses will run every 10-15 minutes. Student ambassadors will be at the train station until 3pm to direct you to the shuttle bus stop; they will be wearing bright red t-shirts.
Alternatively, pick up a directions sheet from one of our student ambassadors at the train station, and walk the short distance to the campus, though Leeds city centre. It usually takes about 20 minutes
For coach details, visit the National Express website. From the bus and coach station you can take the number 6 bus to Parkinson Steps, at the main entrance to the University.
From the bus and coach station, you can take bus number 6 to the University’s main entrance. From the city centre, the following buses will take you to the University’s main entrance: 1, 6, 28, 56 and 97.
Due to the high number of visitors we are unable to offer on-campus parking on our open days, except for Blue Badge holders.
We strongly recommend that you use public transport to reach Leeds, however we realise that this may not always be possible. If you are driving to an open day we advise that you use one of the main city centre car parks, most of which are only a short walk from our campus. We also recommend that you allow additional time to find a parking space, as traffic can get congested in the city centre on open days.
The table below details some city centre car parks. Please remember that those closest to the University are likely to be the busiest.

The park and ride service will not be running on Saturday 12 September, but will be available for the 10 October open day.
West Yorkshire Metro offer a park and ride service from Elland Road to the city centre. The service ends at Boar Lane, which is a short walk to Leeds Train Station.
